DiaDorn – Security Built on Tradition Since 1970

The story of DiaDorn begins in 1970, when my father opened a locksmith shop – the business now known as Werner Alarm- und Sicherheitstechnik GmbH. From the start, the focus was on precise workmanship, technical skill and a clear standard of quality. Over the years, this small locksmith shop developed into a professional security company with VdS certifications for mechanical and electronic systems, ISO standards and projects including supplying the German Federal Chancellery.

This is the environment I grew up in. At the age of eleven or twelve, I worked in the workshop on Saturdays. My father taught me the practical foundations of security technology: hand-filing keys, including safe keys, pinning and assembling cylinders, opening doors and safes, accompanying technicians on installations, wiring alarm systems and troubleshooting. Later I handled the online shop, marketing and direct customer communication.

Through this, I experienced all sides of the industry: workshop, field service, technical work and the daily needs of customers. This mix still shapes the way I approach the development of safes today.

I founded DiaDorn in 2013. Not because I wanted to build a brand, but because there was a clear gap in the market. Deposit safes were essential for many businesses, yet existing products often lacked reliability. Delivery times of 7–14 days were common, development hardly moved forward and many manufacturers were disconnected from the reality of hospitality and retail.

I knew from practice how a deposit safe needs to be built to work reliably. My goal was to combine solid construction with processes that make sense for customers: stable stock levels, clear logistics, fast delivery and transparent communication. Ideally, a customer should receive a safe immediately — not weeks later.

Many of our products originated directly from customer requirements. Our donation boxes were developed because operators needed secure and durable solutions that did not exist in the market. The vehicle safe 10523 came from real demand for reliable mobile security. Our drawer deposit safes were designed around the workflow of gastronomy and retail, where deposits must be made quickly and safely.

We listen, observe and translate real needs into functional products. This practical approach comes directly from our family tradition: solving problems through hands-on experience, not theory.

“Security built on tradition” for us means two generations of experience, technical understanding, customer proximity and products designed to perform in everyday use.
