Level A – solid basic protection with insurance coverage

Level B – increased resistance for higher demands
- Level B is the reinforced security level according to VDMA 24992 and offers significantly more resistance against break-ins and tampering.
- It is recommended for regularly higher deposit sums, exposed locations and stricter compliance requirements.
- In combination with anchoring, dual control and optional electronic locks, a well-rounded security concept is created that meets professional requirements.
- Deposit safes of level B are insurable with many insurers up to approx. €2,500 – a clear advantage for companies with higher daily takings.

Lock variants – from classic to digital

Mechanical key lock
- Proven, straightforward solution.
- No batteries, low follow-up costs, clear access control via key handover.

Electronic code lock (PIN)
- Access via individual codes; ideal if keys are to be avoided.
- Codes can be changed or revoked, e.g. when staff changes.
- Optional time delay and extended functions available.

Fingerprint / biometric
- Fast access via stored fingerprints.
- Practical when keys and codes should not circulate.
- Well combinable with PIN (e.g. PIN + fingerprint).

Combinations & options
- PIN + fingerprint for increased security or clear role allocation.
- Key + electronics (e.g. mechanical main lock, additional electronic release).
- Time delay: after entry, a countdown (10–60 min) starts before the lock opens. This reduces robbery risks in retail.
- Dual control electronically: two people enter their PIN (and/or fingerprint) independently.

Dual control – effective organizational security

Many companies and institutions require that no single person has access to the safe contents.
The dual control principle can be implemented mechanically or electronically:

- Mechanical (two keys): requires two different keys held by two people.
- Electronic (dual release): two different PIN codes (and optionally fingerprints) must be entered sequentially.
- Combined with time delay, this creates a particularly high level of security against spontaneous access and robberies.

Deposit construction & access

- Deposit slot or flap: quick, discreet, ideal for cash envelopes.
- Deposit drawer: convenient for larger numbers of receipts or cassettes; with anti-fishing device and light fire protection up to 30 minutes.
- Anti-fishing / trap system: prevents deposited valuables from being pulled out again.

Anchoring: wall, floor – or both (depending on model)

The protective effect of a safe only unfolds properly with correct anchoring.
Depending on the model:
- Floor anchoring (e.g. in the sales area or back office).
- Wall anchoring (e.g. into masonry).
- Combination of wall & floor (on models designed for it).
